Snow Leopard Lavender Pouch – Brief instructions and knitting chart

IMG_2429

Knitted in the round using Addi 20 cm 3.25 mm circular needles from Wool Stack.  You will need approximately 10 grams, 40-50 m of 4 ply/fingering weight yarn.  The blue that I used here is Dazzle HT (High Twist) from the Natural Dye Studio Mini Skein Club and the white is remnant yarn of a similar weight.

Step 1 – Leaving a long tail of about 1 metre, cast on 44 stitches, plus an additional stitch. 45 stitches.

Step 2 – Knit 44 stitches.  Knit the 45th stitch together with the first stitch.  44 stitches in the round.  From now on work in the round.

Step 3 – :::  snow-leopard-knitting-chart  ::: Follow the knitting chart starting at row 2, stitch 1.  The chart shows the stitches needed to complete one side of the pouch.  For stitches 23-44 inclusive you will need to repeat the pattern i.e. you will need to do stitches 1-22 on the chart twice in each row.

Step 4 – Once you have finished all 33 rows of the chart cast off leaving a long tail of about 1 metre.

Step 5 – Finish the bottom seam as you wish, I used the long tail to crochet the two sides together.

Step 6 – Put in your lavender pouch.  Here are some pictures of some pouches that I made earlier:
